Framed's trajectory from 'Talk' Magazine feature story, to internationally published memoir to feature film has, as Tod Volpe's life, been an unorthodox one.

Optioned by FilmFour ("The Crying Game"/"Room With A View") when Tina Brown first recognized the significance of the story (in 2001), the film rights reverted back to Tod, with/when the London based film company went into financial reorganization.

Spearheaded by Rowland Perkins (co-founder of CAA (Creative Artists Agency) the film's potential was immediately recognized following FRAMED's UK release (Cutting Edge Press / Mainstream Publishing 2002). Mainstream, leading European publishers based in London and Edinburgh also published 'Catch Me If You Can', 'Braveheart' among other sensational best sellers.

Interest in the feature film:

- Sydney Pollock (The Firm)
- Cruise Wagner Productions (Collateral)
- Steve Soderberg (Traffic)
- Danny Halstead (Oliver Stone's former partner)
- Film Four London
- Ardustry Entertainment (Peter Sahagan)
- Focus Features (David Linde)
- Fox/Searchlight (Tony Safford)
- Meryl Posser (Miramax) etc.
- The Montel Williams Company

The US Edition of FRAMED was released through ECW Press, Toronto, in 2003 and was immediately featured in Barnes & Noble, Borders other well known bookstores throughout America.

Terence Winter, Golden Globe winning writer/producer of Boardwalk Empire, Emmy winning writer/producer of The Sopranos is set to write FRAMED, a feature film based on Tod Volpe's memoir.

A morality tale about the dark side of the American dream, exposing corruption in the art world, Framed is currently in development with Terence Winter's Cold Front Productions Stephen Weingrad and Irina Ginzburg, Weingrad/Ginzburg Volpe Productions, Darlene Winter AGV Productions in association with Harris Tulchin, Tulchin Entertainment.

FRAMED is represented by renowned literary agent Sterling Lord/Sterling Lord Literistic and by Harris Tulchin, Tulchin and Associates (LA based entertainment attorneys).
